Conférence: «Service innovation: challenges and policy implications»

Dans le cadre des conférences du CIRST, Luis Rubalcaba (Département d'économie appliqué, University of Alcalá et «visiting scholar», Boston University) présentera en anglais une communication sur les services de l'innovation.

Résumé en anglais : The objective is threefold: to present the conceptual framework for a comprehensive understanding of service innovation, to explore the main societal challenges affecting service innovation dynamics and to derive policy implications. The presentation will also discuss the differences between innovation in goods and service innovation to underline what can be specific in service innovation, and what can deserve special attention from a policy point of view. At policy level, the presentation will provide the reason d’être of service innovation policies from a market and systemic failures perspective. Finally, some examples of service innovation policies will be provided. The presentation will be based of some of the recent author publications of the topic.  Luis Rubalcaba is a recognised expert in area of service innovation with some outstanding works and experience as expert for international organisations such as the European Commission and the IDB.
