Participants in this workshop will learn simple, easily actionable ways to cut down their everyday energy use in order to save money and help the environment. Energy waste is mostly invisible, however the costs add-up quickly – by helping to identify the habits and objects most responsible for this waste, and quantify the financial impact, participants can start lowering utility bills and saving money.
Kimberley Doyle and her family are the “Biggest Losers” in energy reduction in Canada’s first Energy Diet Challenge. Kimberly’s efforts in monitoring the effects of her family’s energy consumption habits on the environment as well as the household budget lead to changes in their lifestyles and a 58% drop in energy consumption. Kimberley has been a featured guest speaker in a series of Eco-Conferences held across the Province and is currently working with households interested in lowering their own utility bills while giving the environment a helping hand.
Kimberley completed a BA in psychology from Queen’s University and has spent the majority of her career working in finance at major financial institutions and national retailers.
