Ananya Chatterjee Chakraborti is a professor, filmmaker, writer and activist based in Calcutta, India. She is a specialist in gender and human rights and a professor in the department of journalism and mass communications at St. Xavier University. Ananya is also a member of Vikalp (an association of film-makers who are opposed to any form of censorship), IAWRT (International Association for Women in Radio and Television), NWMI (Network for Women in Media, India), Bengal Network and PIPFPD (Pakistan Indian People's Forum for Peace and Democracy).
