Described as 'the 20th century's greatest romance' by their publicist Derek Taylor, the Beatles attained their phenomenal prominence within the cultural context of the turbulent 1960s, which they reflected as well as altered through their creativity and the course of their career. This series, illustrated by recordings, live music, film clips, photos, and song lyrics, will explore their achievements and its meaning.
