La soirée de performances Processus Ouvert est présentée dans le cadre du festival les HTMlles 10: Affaires à risque, et le festival Pixel Libre 0.1.

1ère édition du Festival Pixel Libre 0.1:
Il s’agit de la première édition de l’événement Pixel Libre 0.1 qui se veut devenir un festival annuel dont la programmation accroîtra au fur et à mesure des années. Pour cette édition, Pixel Libre se produira sur le thème du Processus Ouvert, en partenariat avec le festival HTMlles organisé par Studio XX, Eastern Bloc et Perte de Signal. Pixel libre sera le premier festival international des cultures du libre à Montréal. Il est un espace rassembleur et soutient le partage de la connaissance, l’autonomisation technologique et la liberté de création. Les cultures du libre proviennent du mouvement 'open source' entamé dans les années 80 par la Free Software Foundation, mais leurs racines puisent aussi dans le mouvement plus global du “do it yourself' (DIY), ainsi que des 'arts and crafts'.

Pixel Libre est nouvellement membre de Pixelache un réseau informel de festivals d’art électronique, coordonné par Pixelache Helsinki et composé des membres suivants : Pixelache (Helsinki, Finlande), Piksel (Bergen, Norvège), Pixelvärk (Stockholm, Suède), Mal au Pixel (Paris, France), Pixelazo (Santa Marta, Colombie), Afropixel (Dakar, Sénégal), Pikslaverk (Reykjavik, Icelande), PixelİST (Istanbul, Turquie).



Festival Les HTMlles 10:
Les HTMlles est un festival féministe d’arts médiatiques et de culture numérique, présenté à Montréal par le Studio XX, centre d’artistes féministe, bilingue, engagé dans l’exploration, la création, la diffusion et la réflexion critique en art technologique.
Pour sa 10e édition le festival Les HTMlles se produit sous le signe du risque. Cette thématique est développée selon l’idée suivant : risquer peut impliquer de gagner ou de perdre, le résultat étant incertain, il s’agit donc de s'exposer à une possibilité… Le risque est un potentiel. Qu'il soit connoté positivement ou négativement, prendre un risque implique l’idée d'évaluation, d'action et de répartition, et donc, de pouvoir.

Pixel Libre 0.1 Festival:
This inaudural edition of the Pixel Libre festival – 0.1 – is a prototype for future editions of the festival with programming that will evolve from one year to the next. This year, Pixel Libre puts forth a program of performances on the theme of “Open Process,” in partnership with the HTMlles festival, organised by Studio XX, Eastern Bloc and Perte-de-Signal. Pixel Libre will be the very first international festival promoting open source culture in Montreal.

Pixel Libre brings together and works to share knowledge around open source creation and autonomous technologies. Open culture derives from the 80's open source movement initiated by the Free Software Foundation and also stems from the larger Do It Yourself (DIY) movement as well as the arts and crafts movement.

Pixel Libre is a new member of the Pixelache network, which is an informal network of electronic art festivals coordinated by Pixelache Helsinki, including the following member festivals: Pixelache (Helsinki, Finland), Piksel (Bergen, Norway), Pixelvärk (Stockholm, Sweden), Mal au Pixel (Paris, France), Pixelazo (Santa Marta, Colombia), Afropixel (Dakar, Senegal), Pikslaverk (Reykjavik, Iceland), PixelİST (Istanbul, Turkey).



The HTMlles 10 Festival:
The HTMlles is a feminist festival of media arts and digital culture produced in Montreal by Studio XX, a bilingual feminist artist-run centre for technological exploration, creation and critique. On its 10th edition, the HTMlles Festival's theme is risk. The thematic reflection explores how risk, as an uncertain phenomenon, is full of potential. Whether positive or negative, taking risks implies an evaluation and a proactive approach, and thus taking risk is an empowering action.
