After taking audiences on an moving journey back to ancient Rome with last year’s production of Titus Andronicus, the M.S.T.C. invites you back to the time of medieval Scotland for Shakespeare’s passionate story of desire and ambition. Sorcery and battle surround this classic tale of a man coming to grips with his own inhumanity. And there will be witches everywhere you look!!!

Macbeth is directed by M.S.T.C. Artistic Director: Aaron George (Titus Andronicus, M.S.T.C. school tours); who has been the Artistic Director of the company for over 11 years. The show features a cast of over 30 actors including Alex Goldrich (Titus Andronicus, Henry V, Closer), Steph von Roretz (Titus Andronicus, Romeo & Juliet), Jeremy Hechtman (Former director of the Montreal Fringe Festival) and many other veterans of the stage as well as a few newcomers. The show also features an original percussion score written and performed by Executive Producer Ace Lopes (Titus Andronicus, M.S.T.C. school tours) and is entirely choreographed by Amy Blackmore (Montreal Fringe Festival Director).

The Montreal Shakespeare Theatre Company is a non-profit, professional theatre company whose mission is to provide an inspiring and unforgettable theatre experience for students of all ages. Employing an innovative production staff and dynamic actors, the company performs Shakespeare’s timeless themes in a contemporary voice. The company has been touring schools in Quebec and Ontario for the past 11 years with modern English adaptations of William Shakespeare plays.
