Orientalys, festival entièrement dédié à la rencontre des cultures orientales et occidentales, célèbre une Montréal plurielle, avant-gardiste et ouverte à l’autre...
Durant trois jours et trois nuits, le Quai Jacques-Cartier vibrera au rythme de fusions audacieuses et de spectacles inédits ! La scène principale Loto-Québec et la scène STM accueilleront de nombreux ateliers, animations et performances. Du flamenco aux musiques d’Europe de l’Est, du jazz à la musique orientale, de la calligraphie à la danse et au multimédia... l’édition 2012 vous réserve bien des surprises et une foule d’activités autour d’une Médina orientale, illustrant les vieux souks et l’ambiance des quartiers de Damas, de Casablanca ou de Bagdad.

Orientalys is a festival fully devoted to the meeting of Eastern and Western cultures, celebrating a diverse, avant-garde and open-minded Montréal.
For three days and three nights, the Jacques-Cartier Quay will move to the beat of bold fusions and original shows! The Loto-Québec main stage and the STM stage will host an array of workshops, animation activities and performances. From flamenco to East European music, from jazz to Oriental cadences, from calligraphy to dance and multimedia, the 2012 edition holds plenty of surprises in store, along with a wide range of activities set around an Oriental medina, reflecting the old souks and the atmosphere in areas of Damascus, Casablanca or Baghdad.
