Cet atelier, animé par le danseur et chorégraphe de Vancouver Alvin Erasga Tolentino, est spécifiquement conçu pour les non-danseurs ou les danseurs non professionnels qui souhaitent explorer l’expression corporelle et le mouvement. Dans cet atelier, les participants seront amenés à observer et à intégrer le mouvement grâce à diverses techniques qui les conduiront vers un langage individuel et collectif; à travers l’expression des sensations internes, la respiration, l’entrainement somatique, le relâchement, la vocalisation et l’improvisation.

Alvin Erasga Tolentino est un artiste international dont les performances et l’ensemble de l’œuvre ont été acclamés sur tous les continents. Il est également fondateur et directeur de la compagnie CO.ERASGA Dance. La démarche interculturelle est implantée au cœur de sa pratique par sa connaissance de l’esthétique et des fondements de la danse de tradition occidentale et orientale. Il a enseigné la danse aux professionnels aussi bien qu’aux non-professionnels, incluant des cours pour Harbour Dance, The Goh Ballet, The Basel Academy of Music in Switzerland and Ballet Philippines pour n’en mentionner que quelques-uns.

Facilitated by Vancouver dancer and choreographer, Alvin Erasga Tolentino, this workshop is specifically designed for non-dancers wishing to explore the art of body expression and movement. Participants will be guided to observe, absorb and to find their way to movements, personally and collectively, through an exploration of various techniques such as breathing, somatic bodywork, releasing, improvisation and vocalization.

Vancouver based Alvin Erasga Tolentino is an international dance artist whose performances and work been acclaimed across four continents. He is also the founder and director of CO.ERASGA Dance. His cross-cultural approach to dance is rooted in his experiences in Western and Eastern dance aesthetics and fundamentals. He has taught dance to both professional and non-professionals extensively including classes for Harbour Dance, The Goh Ballet, The Basel Academy of Music in Switzerland and Ballet Philippines to name a few.
