Concordia Greenhouse and the Color Collective members Johanna Autin, Carissa Carman, Sarah Cotwoka collaborate with Textile Designer Julie Andre to present a workshop and skill share on sustainable colours.
The workshop includes:
An introduction and tour of the indoor natural dye garden
Presentation of the Phyto Sanitation System (prototype)
Hands-on natural dyeing with flowers cultivated from the Greenhouse
Please :
BRING a few pieces of white fabric, 100% made of natural fibres (cotton, linen, rami, silk, or wool), washed well
and
COLLECT onion peels from your everyday meals while waiting for this great event (yellow or red, the dry part), the used tea bags from your morning tea, rusted nails and other small pieces of metal that you find.
